JEWELLERY PHOTOGRAPHY · BERLIN
I photograph rings for your online shop as product images on a white background for €20 per image and view, including editing and on request with shadow. On-model photos on the finger are available from approx. €30 per image. Usually 3 to 5 days after the products arrive, express in about 2 to 3 days on request.
The view from the front shows the structure of the ring head, an oblique image connects the frame and the ring band, and a photo on the model makes the size effect understandable. I photograph your rings in Berlin and adjust the image selection to what your customers should recognize before ordering.

For a ring with stone, the front is often the focus. It shows the shape of the stone, its arrangement and the relation to the frame. For the first picture in the online shop, it is important that the ring remains visible in a small preview as a whole. However, a view alone cannot answer all questions about structure and proportions.
On the side, it can be seen how high a frame sits above the ring band. An oblique perspective connects this height with the visible stone surface. On the other hand, with a simple band ring, the width of the rail can be more important. Together, we determine which views actually have their own information value for your model, instead of providing the same number of images for each ring.
Polished surfaces reflect their surroundings. A bright line can well describe the rounding of a ring; an uncontrolled dark spot, on the other hand, can seem like a discolouration. Therefore, I align light and environment in such a way that the course of the rail remains comprehensible. The metal should retain its shine and not look like an evenly coloured surface.
With matt, brushed or structured surfaces, it is about other properties. Here, the lighting must make the processing visible without making the surface appear coarser than it is. Please point out special surfaces or deliberately set contrasts during the request. This helps to take these characteristics into account when shoot.
With a ring with several stones, the arrangement should be recognizable. Bright reflections can show sparkles, but not cover all contours. I agree the lighting on metal, stone trim and frame together. In the case of coloured stones, it is also important that the overall impression fits the actual jewel.
It does not replace a change in the product: the number of stones, the shape of the frame and the proportions are retained. If a feature is particularly important for your product description, please refer to it in the briefing. This way we can select a suitable view and align the image sequence with it.
At Trauringen, a joint image shows how the two models belong together. Different widths, stone trim or surfaces can be compared by a coordinated positioning. The rings can be arranged side by side or easily offset. It is crucial that both shapes remain recognizable and no important feature is concealed.
If you also sell the rings individually or offer several variants, additional individual views are useful. For a series we keep distance, rotation and image cut-out as much as possible. This makes comparison within your shop easier, without optically leveling differences between the models.
A product picture on a white background shows the product without distraction. How wide a ring band works on the hand or how far a ring head stands out can often be assessed better on the finger. A photo on the model therefore complements the factual dimensions of your product description. It does not replace the ring size or a measurement in millimetres.
Before taking a photo on the model, we will clarify which ring size is available and which position the jewel shows meaningfully. A natural hand position should not cover the ring. More about the selection of such pictures can be found in the guide Show jewellery size with photos on model.
Arrange a unique article number for each ring and mark the variants that belong together. A short list of metal colour, ring size and desired views makes it easier to coordinate. Also, tell whether engravings should be visible and whether a pair is offered together. This allows file names and picture order to be created appropriately from the beginning.
You can bring your rings to Berlin by arrangement or ship them from Germany & Austria. For transport, the pieces should be individually protected so that they do not rub against each other. We arrange the transfer and return before the shoot. You can find an overview of the process on the page jewellery photography in Berlin.

This depends on the structure of the ring. In a stone ring, a slanted view is often helpful because it shows stone and ring band together. In a simple band ring, width and surface can be more important for the selection.
Yes, a couple can be photographed together. I adjust the arrangement so that both rings remain recognizable. If you need individual images, we plan them as further views.
A photo on the model conveys the effect on one hand, but does not determine ring size. In addition, specify the available sizes and dimensions in your product description.
