How it works in 5 steps

1. Enquiry

They tell me how many pieces of jewellery you want to photograph and what kind of image you need. Helpful are an article list and simple mobile phone photos so that I can assess shapes, materials and scope. Also mention the planned use: for example, product pages, a catalogue or a new collection. You get a fixed price before you send something. In it you can see which pictures and views are agreed.

2. Agree shipping

I agree with you the shipping method, the packaging and an insurance suitable for the value of the goods. Please send the jewellery only after these points have been clarified. Add a packing list on which the pieces can be clearly assigned. For similar models, article numbers and a short description help me. Also, tell me which parts belong together as a pair or set.

3. Arrival and inspection

I check the shipment against your packing list and get in touch as soon as everything has arrived. If an assignment is unclear or a piece looks different than announced, I will clarify this with you before recording. Indications of sensitive surfaces, special closures or loose components are best included in the request. So I can take care of them during the preparation.

4. Photography and editing

In the studio, I take care of light, recording, retouching and unlocking. I pick up the jewellery with gloves and go over it briefly with a cloth to prepare it. On request, I will show you a first picture to match the style. In a series, I will then orient myself to the agreed perspectives, cutouts and shadows. The shape and characteristics of your products will be preserved.

5. Delivery

You will receive the processed pictures by download. The jewellery will be returned to you with the agreed shipping method; I will clarify the return address and the recipient with you before. The assignment via item numbers will then make it easier for you to embed the files into your shop. If you are in Berlin, you can arrange a personal transfer by arrangement instead.

How do I send jewellery safely?

Pack each piece individually, for example in a suitable bag or jewellery box. Metal surfaces and stones should not rub against each other. Protect fine chains from tangled up, and secure small items. The packaging should hold the piece without exerting pressure on sockets, pins or sensitive closures.

Use a sturdy carton instead of a padding envelope. Fill out cavities in such a way that the individual packaging does not move freely during transport. Add a packing list with item numbers, quantities and your return address. Keep a copy so that you can understand the composition later.

Choose a shipment with tracking and insurance matching the value of the goods. Normal parcel services are often limited for valuable jewellery; a specified insurance sum alone does not mean that every jewellery shipment is covered. I therefore agree with you in advance a suitable option for outbound and return shipping. Check the conditions of the selected shipping service provider for your specific goods.

The images you receive

Product cutouts

Product cutouts show your jewel on white background, with or without shadow. For €20 per image and view you will receive the processed image as JPG or PSD, for example for a clear product page.

Products & sets

For Products and sets I show matching pieces in a coordinated arrangement. This is suitable, for example, for a jewellery set or a collection; I define the scope and price with you in advance.

On-model photos

On-model photos show jewellery on the model and convey the effect on hand, ear or neck. You get these pictures from approx. €30 per image, depending on the effort.

Lifestyle photos

Lifestyle photos show your products in a suitable environment and complement the factual product presentation. The price starts at approx. 25 € per image; I discuss the concrete design with you before recording.

For which shops and marketplaces

I prepare your images for the agreed use: for online shops with Shopify, WooCommerce or Shopware as well as for Amazon, Etsy, Otto, Instagram and catalogues. Please tell me the required image dimensions, the aspect ratio and specifications to the background. Thus, it can be taken into account when recording whether a motif is later used squarely or in portrait format.

Usage rights for your shop, marketplaces, social media and advertising are included in the price.

Why a studio in Germany

If you ship from Germany, the transport will remain within Germany: you do not need any foreign shipment or customs clearance. You have with me a fixed contact person for inquiry, recording and transfer of images. Agreements will be made in German, and you will receive a fixed price for the agreed scope in advance.

My studio is located in Berlin, my service is provided in Germany on the basis of German law. All prices are final prices. As a small business under Section 19 of the German VAT Act (UStG), I do not charge VAT. You can also send jewellery from Austria; I agree with you separately for the appropriate shipping solution.
